Today’s Unique Creation: Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops

As the weather starts to cool down and fall is in full swing, I find myself craving comforting dishes that are both savory and sweet. Today, I’m excited to share with you my latest creation: Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops. This dish combines the richness of perfectly cooked pork chops with the sweetness of a tangy apple cider glaze, creating a flavor explosion that is sure to impress your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • pork chops (4 pieces)
  • apple cider (250ml)
  • maple syrup (50g)
  • dijon mustard (30g)
  • garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • fresh thyme (1 tablespoon, chopped)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • skillet
  • tongs
  • whisk
  • measuring cups
  • measuring spoons

To start, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the pork chops. Season them generously with salt and pepper and cook until they are browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then, pour in the apple cider, maple syrup, dijon mustard, and fresh thyme. Whisk everything together until well combined and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Return the pork chops to the skillet, along with any juices that have accumulated on the plate. Cook the pork chops in the glaze, spooning the sauce over them occasionally, until they are cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.

Once the pork chops are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Spoon the remaining glaze over the pork chops before serving. Enjoy your delicious Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops!

Total weight of cooked dish: 800g
Number of servings: 4
Average weight of one serving: 200g
Approximate calorie count per serving: 350 calories

One unique tip for this dish is to use bone-in pork chops for extra flavor and juiciness. The bone adds depth to the dish and helps keep the meat moist during cooking.

I encourage you to give this recipe a try and feel free to customize it to your liking. Whether you prefer a sweeter glaze or a more savory one, this dish is easily customizable to suit your taste preferences. Happy cooking!
