Ingredients:

  • 300g chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
  • 200g fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 red chilies, thinly sliced
  • 50ml soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • to taste

  • wooden spoon
  • grater

To start, heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring until fragrant. Next, add the sliced chicken breast and cook until browned on all sides.

Once the chicken is cooked through, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and red chilies to the wok. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables start to soften.

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch. Pour this sauce over the chicken and vegetables in the wok. Stir well to coat everything evenly.

Now, add the fresh pineapple chunks to the wok and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the pineapple is heated through. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
