Exploring New Flavors: Spicy Mango Chicken Stir-Fry

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and delicious recipe that combines the sweetness of mango with a kick of spice in a flavorful stir-fry. This dish is perfect for when you want to try something different and explore new flavor combinations. Let’s dive into the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts (400g)
  • 1 ripe mango, diced (200g)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced (150g)
  • 1 onion, chopped (100g)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • Cooked rice for serving

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • wok
  • wooden spoon

To start, thinly slice the chicken breasts into bite-sized strips and set aside. In a wok over medium heat, add sesame oil and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add the chicken strips and cook until they are browned on all sides.

Next, add the diced mango, sliced bell pepper, and chopped onion to the wok. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sriracha sauce, and honey. Pour this mixture over the chicken and vegetables in the wok.

Continue cooking the stir-fry, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients evenly. The combination of sweet mango, spicy sriracha, and savory soy sauce creates a delicious balance of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds.

Serve the spicy mango chicken stir-fry over a bed of cooked rice and garnish with some chopped green onions or sesame seeds for an extra burst of flavor. This dish is perfect for a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner that will surely impress your family and friends.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 900g, with 4 servings. Each serving has around 225g, and it is estimated to be around 350 calories per serving.

Clever Tip:

For an extra burst of citrusy flavor, try adding a squeeze of fresh lime juice to the stir-fry just before serving. The acidity of the lime will brighten up the dish and add a refreshing twist to the overall flavor profile.

I hope you give this spicy mango chicken stir-fry a try and enjoy the unique combination of flavors. Feel free to customize the recipe with your favorite vegetables or additional spices to make it your own. Happy cooking!
