Today’s Recipe: Spicy Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry

Welcome to my kitchen! Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that brings together sweet and spicy flavors in a delicious stir-fry. This dish is perfect for a busy weeknight or when you’re craving something a little different. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • beef strips (300g)
  • pineapple chunks (200g)
  • bell peppers (150g)
  • red onion (100g)
  • garlic (2 cloves)
  • soy sauce (50ml)
  • sriracha sauce (1 tbsp)
  • brown sugar (1 tbsp)
  • rice vinegar (1 tbsp)
  • cornstarch (1 tbsp)
  • vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • wok
  • chopping board
  • knife
  • mixing bowl
  • tongs

Start by marinating the beef strips in soy sauce, sriracha sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. In the meantime, chop the bell peppers, red onion, garlic, and pineapple into bite-sized pieces.

Heat some vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef strips and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside. In the same wok, add a little more oil if needed and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

Add the bell peppers and red onion to the wok and stir-fry until slightly softened. Return the beef to the wok along with the pineapple chunks. Season with salt and pepper to taste. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry and pour it over the stir-fry to thicken the sauce.

Continue to stir-fry until everything is well coated and heated through. The dish is ready when the sauce has thickened and the vegetables are tender-crisp. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Final Touches:

This Spicy Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry weighs approximately 900g once cooked. It serves 4 people with each serving weighing around 225g. An average serving of this dish contains around 350 calories.

Pro tip: For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a handful of cashews or peanuts to the stir-fry just before serving. The nuts will add a crunchy texture and nutty taste that complements the dish perfectly!

I hope you enjoy making this Spicy Pineapple Beef Stir-Fry in your own kitchen. Feel free to customize the ingredients to suit your taste preferences and make it your own. Happy cooking!
