Today’s Dish: Spicy Peanut Butter Bacon Sandwich

Growing up, I always loved a good old-fashioned peanut butter and jelly sandwich. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve started experimenting with different flavor combinations to elevate this classic dish. Today, I’m excited to share my recipe for a Spicy Peanut Butter Bacon Sandwich that packs a punch and will leave your taste buds tingling.

Ingredients:

  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 100g of creamy peanut butter
  • 1 serrano pepper, thinly sliced
  • 15g of honey
  • 4 slices of your favorite bread
  • 15g of butter

Kitchen Tools:

  • frying pan
  • spatula
  • knife
  • cutting board

To start, cook the bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until crispy. While the bacon is cooking, spread a generous amount of peanut butter on two slices of bread. Once the bacon is done, place it on top of the peanut butter on one of the slices.

Next, drizzle the honey over the bacon and sprinkle the sliced serrano pepper on top. This will add a nice kick of heat to the sandwich. Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to create two sandwiches.

In the same pan used to cook the bacon, melt the butter over medium heat. Carefully place the sandwiches in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Once the sandwiches are crispy and golden, remove them from the pan and let them cool for a minute before slicing them in half. Enjoy your Spicy Peanut Butter Bacon Sandwich while it’s still warm for the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and salty flavors.

This dish weighs approximately 400g in total and serves 2 people. Each serving is around 200g with an estimated calorie count of 500 per serving.

Tip: For an extra crunch, try adding a layer of thinly sliced apples to the sandwich before grilling. The combination of textures adds a delightful twist to this already unique dish.
