Citrus Rosemary Salmon Recipe

Introducing: Orange Infused Salmon with Rosemary Quinoa

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and delicious recipe that combines the freshness of citrus with the earthiness of rosemary. This dish is perfect for a cozy evening at home or a small gathering with friends. I love the way the flavors come together in this dish, creating a truly memorable dining experience.

Ingredients:

  • salmon fillet (200g)
  • quinoa (100g)
  • orange zest (1 orange)
  • fresh rosemary (1 sprig)
  • olive oil (15ml)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • saucepan
  • chef’s knife
  • grater
  • mixing bowl

I start by preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then, I place the salmon fillet on the baking sheet and drizzle it with olive oil. Next, I sprinkle the orange zest over the salmon and season it with salt and pepper. I place a sprig of fresh rosemary on top of the salmon before putting it in the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

While the salmon is baking, I prepare the quinoa. In a saucepan, I combine the quinoa with water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, I reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let the quinoa simmer for about 15 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed. Then, I remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes to steam.

Once the quinoa is cooked, I fluff it with a fork and season it with salt and pepper. I then serve the orange-infused salmon on a bed of rosemary quinoa, garnished with a fresh sprig of rosemary for added fragrance and flavor.

This dish yields approximately 300g of food, enough for 2 servings. Each serving is about 150g and contains approximately 250 calories.

One clever tip for this recipe is to add a splash of orange juice to the quinoa as it cooks to enhance the citrus flavor. It will take this dish to the next level and impress your guests with the burst of freshness.
