Spicy Szechuan Shrimp Stir-Fry

Hey there, foodies! Today I’m excited to share with you a delicious and fiery recipe for Spicy Szechuan Shrimp Stir-Fry. This dish is perfect for those days when you’re craving something bold and flavorful. Let’s dive right in!

Ingredients:

  • 200g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 100g broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp Szechuan peppercorns
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 stalks of green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Cooked rice for serving

Kitchen Tools:

To start, heat the wok over high heat and add the sesame oil. Once hot, toss in the garlic, ginger, and Szechuan peppercorns. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Next, add in the shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to turn pink. Then, throw in the bell pepper, onion, and broccoli. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.

In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and hoisin sauce. Pour this sauce over the shrimp and vegetables in the wok. Stir well to coat everything evenly and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Once everything is cooked through and coated in the sauce, sprinkle the sliced green onions on top. Give it one final toss and remove from heat.

Serve the Spicy Szechuan Shrimp Stir-Fry hot over a bed of cooked rice. Enjoy the bold flavors and fiery kick of this dish!
