  • spaghetti (200g)
  • apples, sliced thinly (2 medium)
  • butter (50g)
  • brown sugar (50g)
  • cinnamon powder (1 tsp)
  • nutmeg, grated (1/2 tsp)
  • salt (1/2 tsp)
  • lemon juice (1 tbsp)
  • water (100ml)

  • measuring spoons

To start, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and add the sliced apples. Cook until the apples are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt over the apples and stir to combine.

In a small saucepan, combine the lemon juice and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat before pouring the mixture over the apples. Let it cook for another 5 minutes until the liquid has slightly thickened.

Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and add it to the skillet with the apple mixture. Toss everything together until well combined. Serve the apple pie pasta warm, with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon on top for garnish.
