Today’s Unique Creation: Golden Turmeric Cauliflower Bowls

As the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to turn, I find myself craving warm, comforting dishes that are both nourishing and delicious. That’s why I’m excited to share my latest culinary creation with you today: Golden Turmeric Cauliflower Bowls. This recipe combines the earthy flavors of cauliflower with the vibrant hues of turmeric and spices, creating a dish that is as visually stunning as it is tasty.

To begin, gather the following ingredients:

<li data-ingredient="1 medium head cauliflower (about 600g), cut into florets

    <li data-ingredient="2 tbsp olive oil

    <li data-ingredient="1 tsp ground turmeric

    <li data-ingredient="1/2 tsp ground cumin

    <li data-ingredient="1/2 tsp smoked paprika

    <li data-ingredient="1/4 tsp cinnamon

<li data-ingredient="Salt and pepper, to taste

    <li data-ingredient="1 cup cooked quinoa

    <li data-ingredient="1/2 cup roasted chickpeas

<li data-ingredient="1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted

    <li data-ingredient="Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Next, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, turmeric, cumin, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper until well coated. Spread the seasoned cauliflower in an even layer on the baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and slightly crispy.

While the cauliflower is roasting, prepare the quinoa according to package instructions and toast the sliced almonds in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant. Set aside.

Once the cauliflower is ready, assemble your bowls by layering the cooked quinoa, roasted cauliflower, roasted chickpeas, and toasted almonds. Garnish with fresh cilantro for a burst of herbaceous flavor and serve hot.

Total weight of cooked dish: Approximately 1200g
Number of servings: 4
Average weight per serving: 300g
Approximate calorie count per serving: 350 calories

A unique tip for this recipe is to sprinkle a pinch of sumac over the finished dish for an extra tangy kick. Sumac adds a bright, citrusy note that complements the warm spices of the turmeric and cumin beautifully.

I hope you enjoy creating and savoring these Golden Turmeric Cauliflower Bowls as much as I do. Feel free to make this dish your own by adding your favorite toppings or switching up the grains. Let the colors and flavors inspire you in the kitchen!
