  • 1 medium butternut squash, peeled and cubed
  • 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

You will also need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • spatula
  • oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the cubed butternut squash, chickpeas, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the squash and chickpeas are well coated with the spices and seasonings.

Spread the butternut squash and chickpeas out on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the squash is tender and slightly caramelized.
