Cozy Fall Spicy Salmon Recipe

Spicy Maple Glazed Salmon

Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that always reminds me of cozy fall evenings spent around the dinner table with loved ones. This Spicy Maple Glazed Salmon is perfect for a chilly night when you’re craving something warm and comforting yet still light and healthy.

Ingredients:

  • salmon fillets (150g each)
  • maple syrup (60ml)
  • soy sauce (30ml)
  • sriracha (15ml)
  • garlic cloves, minced
  • ginger, grated
  • green onions, chopped
  • sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • aluminum foil

Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with aluminum foil. In a mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the glaze. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.

Brush the glaze generously over each salmon fillet, making sure to coat them evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. While the salmon is baking, prepare a simple garnish by mixing chopped green onions and sesame seeds in a small bowl.

Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and sprinkle the green onion and sesame seed garnish on top. Serve hot with your favorite side dishes or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 600g, with 4 servings at around 150g each. Each serving is roughly 250 calories.

One clever tip for this recipe is to marinate the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes before baking to really amp up the flavor.
