Pumpkin Chai Latte Pancakes

Today, I’m excited to share a cozy and comforting recipe that is perfect for chilly autumn mornings — pumpkin chai latte pancakes. This unique twist on a classic breakfast favorite combines the warm flavors of pumpkin and chai tea for a deliciously spiced treat that will surely brighten your day.

Ingredients:

  • 200g pumpkin puree
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 250ml buttermilk
  • 200g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 50g brown sugar
  • 50g butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • frying pan
  • spatula

To start, steep the chai tea bags in the buttermilk for about 10 minutes to infuse the flavors. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, egg, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Remove the tea bags from the buttermilk and stir it into the wet ingredients until well combined.

Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix — a few lumps are okay. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan for each pancake and cook until bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook for another minute or until golden brown.

Once all the pancakes are cooked, serve them warm with a drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkle of chopped pecans for a delightful crunch. These pumpkin chai latte pancakes are best enjoyed with a steaming cup of chai tea for the ultimate cozy breakfast experience.

A clever tip for this recipe is to top the pancakes with a dollop of whipped cream infused with a hint of chai tea for an extra special touch. It adds a creamy and delightful twist to the dish that will impress your guests.

I hope you give these pumpkin chai latte pancakes a try and enjoy them as much as I do. Feel free to customize the recipe by adding your favorite toppings or spices to make it your own. Happy cooking!
