Today’s Special: Savory Stuffed Bell Peppers

Hey there, foodies! I’m excited to share this delicious recipe for savory stuffed bell peppers with you today. As the weather starts to cool down, I love turning to hearty dishes like this one to warm me up from the inside out. These stuffed peppers are a satisfying meal that’s perfect for a cozy night in or a family dinner. Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 300g ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated cheese for topping

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • large skillet
  • baking dish

To start, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onions are soft. Add the cooked quinoa, diced tomatoes, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to the skillet and mix well.

Stuff each bell pepper with the beef and quinoa mixture and place them in a baking dish. Top each stuffed pepper with grated cheese. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the peppers are tender.

Once the stuffed peppers are cooked through, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. The savory aroma of the beef and quinoa filling will have your mouth watering in no time!

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 1200g, with 4 servings. Each serving weighs around 300g and has an approximate calorie count of 400.

One unique tip for this recipe is to sprinkle some fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro on top of the stuffed peppers before serving. The burst of freshness will elevate the flavors and add a pop of color to your dish.

I hope you enjoy making these savory stuffed bell peppers as much as I do. Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite ingredients and make it your own. Happy cooking!
