Gingerbread Pancake Delight

Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share a cozy and delightful recipe for gingerbread pancakes. As we’re approaching the holiday season, I thought it would be perfect to bring some warm and comforting flavors to your breakfast table. Get ready to indulge in a fluffy stack of spiced goodness!

Ingredients:

  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 250ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 45g butter, melted
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Kitchen Tools:

To start, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the molasses, milk, egg, and melted butter. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Heat a griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it. Pour a ladleful of the pancake batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Once all the pancakes are cooked, stack them up and drizzle with maple syrup. The warm flavors of gingerbread paired with the sweetness of maple syrup create a truly heavenly combination.

This recipe makes approximately 12 pancakes, with a total weight of 720g once cooked. Each serving is about 60g, with an approximate calorie count of 180 per serving.
