Creative Blood Orange Pasta Recipe

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and flavorful recipe that I recently discovered while experimenting in the kitchen. This dish is perfect for a cozy night in or a special gathering with friends and family.

Ingredients:

  • Squid ink pasta (200g)
  • Pancetta (100g)
  • Fennel (1 bulb)
  • Blood oranges (2)
  • Pine nuts (50g)
  • Goat cheese (100g)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Citrus juicer

Preparation:

Start by boiling water in a large pot and cooking the squid ink pasta according to the package instructions. In a skillet, cook the diced pancetta until crispy. Thinly slice the fennel bulb and sauté it in the pancetta fat until caramelized. Peel and segment the blood oranges, then squeeze the juice into a small bowl.

Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and set it aside. In the skillet with the pancetta and fennel, add the cooked pasta, blood orange segments, pine nuts, and a drizzle of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Crumble the goat cheese on top and gently toss everything together until well combined.

Tips:

For an extra pop of flavor, try adding a dash of balsamic vinegar to the dish before serving. This will enhance the sweetness of the blood oranges and complement the savory pancetta and goat cheese beautifully.

Serving:

This flavorful dish serves 4 people and weighs approximately 1000g in total once cooked. Each serving weighs around 250g and contains approximately 400 calories.
