Crispy Parmesan Chickpeas Delight

Crispy Parmesan Chickpeas

Today, I’m sharing a recipe that never fails to satisfy my craving for a savory and crunchy snack. These crispy Parmesan chickpeas are the perfect combination of texture and flavor, making them a go-to option for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 400g canned chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 30ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Kitchen Tools

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • oven

Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained and rinsed chickpeas, grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the chickpeas are evenly coated with the seasonings.

Spread the seasoned chickpeas out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chickpeas are crispy and golden brown.

Once done, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the chickpeas cool for a few minutes before serving. The Parmesan chickpeas are best enjoyed warm, so dig in right away!

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 480g, with 4 servings at around 120g each. Each serving is roughly 180 calories.

One unique tip for this recipe is to sprinkle some extra Parmesan cheese on top of the chickpeas right after they come out of the oven for an extra cheesy finish.
