Crispy Quinoa Patties with Black Bean Guacamole

Today, I’m excited to share a new recipe that combines the crunchiness of quinoa with the creaminess of avocado in a unique and flavorful dish. These crispy quinoa patties topped with a zesty black bean guacamole are perfect for a light lunch or a tasty snack that will satisfy your cravings and impress your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 150g cooked quinoa
  • 50g chickpea flour
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 200g black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 small tomato, diced

Kitchen Tools:

Preparation:

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, chickpea flour, cumin, paprika, green onions, and garlic. Mix well until everything is evenly combined. Form the mixture into small patties.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Place the quinoa patties in the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until crispy and golden brown.

In another bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a fork until smooth. Add in the black beans and diced tomato, mixing gently to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the crispy quinoa patties hot with a generous spoonful of black bean guacamole on top. Enjoy the satisfying crunchiness of the patties paired with the creamy and zesty flavors of the guacamole.

Tips:

For an extra kick of flavor, you can sprinkle some freshly chopped cilantro or a squeeze of lime juice over the guacamole before serving. This will add a refreshing and citrusy taste to the dish that will elevate the overall experience.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 500g, with about 4 servings. Each serving weighs around 125g, and they are roughly 200 calories per portion.
