  • 300ml water
  • 50ml rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 100g smoked salmon
  • 1/2 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • handful of potato chips
  • 2 nori sheets

Kitchen Tools:

  • rice cooker
  • bamboo sushi mat
  • saucepan
  • sharp knife

To start, cook the sushi rice in a rice cooker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. In a saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, and heat until the sugar and salt dissolve. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and add the vinegar mixture. Mix gently to combine and let the rice cool slightly.

Place a sheet of nori on the bamboo sushi mat. Wet your hands and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top. Arrange slices of smoked salmon, cucumber, avocado, and a handful of potato chips on top of the rice.

Using the bamboo mat, carefully roll the sushi into a tight cylinder. Wet the border of the nori sheet to seal the roll. Repeat with the second nori sheet and remaining ingredients.

Using a sharp knife, cut the rolls into bite-sized pieces and serve with soy sauce and wasabi on the side. The combination of crunchy potato chips, creamy avocado, and savory smoked salmon creates a unique and delicious flavor profile.

This recipe makes approximately 24 pieces of potato chip sushi rolls. Each serving weighs around 40g and has approximately 120 calories.
