Being inspired by the upcoming holiday season, I decided to share a unique and gourmet recipe for cranberry glazed duck breast. The combination of savory duck with sweet and tangy cranberry sauce is a match made in culinary heaven, perfect for a special occasion dinner.

To start, preheat your oven to 180°C. Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern and season with salt and pepper. Place the duck breasts skin side down in a skillet over medium heat to render the fat, about 5 minutes. Once the skin is golden and crispy, flip the breasts and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven to finish cooking, about 12-15 minutes for medium-rare.

In the meantime, in a saucepan, combine the fresh cranberries, orange juice, honey, and balsamic vinegar. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Once the duck breasts are cooked to your liking, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Brush the cranberry glaze generously over the duck breasts and return them to the oven for another 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.

Serve the cranberry glazed duck breasts sliced with any remaining sauce drizzled over the top. The tender, succulent duck with the sweet and tangy cranberry sauce will surely impress your guests.
