As the weather starts to warm up, I find myself craving light and refreshing desserts. That’s why today, I’m excited to share my recipe for Avocado Chocolate Mousse. This unique dessert combines the creaminess of ripe avocados with the richness of dark chocolate for a decadent treat that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium ripe avocados (about 450g)
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Kitchen Tools:

  • food processor
  • saucepan
  • spatula
  • ramekins

To start, melt the dark chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. In a food processor, combine the ripe avocados, melted chocolate, coconut milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the processor as needed.

Divide the mousse mixture into ramekins and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set. The mousse should be firm and set when ready to serve. Garnish with fresh berries or a sprinkle of sea salt for added flavor.
