I’m excited to share a decadent dessert that combines tropical flavors with a crunchy twist. This guava macadamia cheesecake is perfect for a special occasion or whenever you want to treat yourself to something truly indulgent.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 400g cream cheese
  • 200g guava paste
  • 150g sugar
  • 200g sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100g macadamia nuts
  • 100g butter
  • 200g digestive biscuits

To create this heavenly dessert, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixer
  • springform pan
  • food processor
  • saucepan

Start by preheating your oven to 160°C. In a food processor, crush the digestive biscuits and macadamia nuts until they form a fine crumb. Melt the butter in a saucepan and mix it with the biscuit and nut mixture. Press this mixture firmly into the base of a springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.

While the crust is baking, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth. Add the sour cream and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Pour half of the batter onto the baked crust.

Next, melt the guava paste in a saucepan until smooth. Drizzle the guava paste over the cheesecake batter in the springform pan. Top with the remaining batter and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is just set. Let it cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight. Once chilled, release the springform pan and slice into portions.

This guava macadamia cheesecake weighs approximately 1500g total and serves 12. Each serving weighs around 125g, with an estimated calorie count of 350 per slice.

A unique tip for this recipe is to lightly toast the macadamia nuts before incorporating them into the crust for an extra depth of flavor.
