Today’s Unique Creation: Truffle-infused Lobster Mac and Cheese

As the holiday season approaches, I wanted to share a luxurious and decadent recipe that will surely impress your guests. This truffle-infused lobster mac and cheese is a show-stopping dish that combines the rich flavors of lobster, creamy cheese sauce, and the earthy aroma of truffles. It’s perfect for a special occasion or a cozy night in.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lobster tails (200g each)
  • 200g macaroni
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 40g all-purpose flour
  • 500ml whole milk
  • 150g gruyere cheese, grated
  • 50g parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp truffle oil
  • to taste truffle salt
  • to taste black pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • saucepan
  • whisk
  • baking dish
  • oven

Start by cooking the lobster tails in a large pot of boiling water for about 5-7 minutes until they turn bright red and the meat is opaque. Remove the lobster tails from the pot and let them cool before removing the meat from the shells and chopping it into bite-sized pieces.

In a separate saucepan, cook the macaroni according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk constantly for a few minutes to make a roux. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens.

Reduce the heat to low and add the gruyere and parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with truffle oil, truffle salt, and black pepper to taste. Add the cooked macaroni and lobster meat to the cheese sauce, stirring until everything is well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Total weight of cooked dish: 1200g
Number of servings: 4
Average weight per serving: 300g
Approximate calorie count per serving: 400 calories

One clever tip for this dish is to drizzle a little extra truffle oil on top just before serving to enhance the truffle flavor and aroma. This will take your lobster mac and cheese to the next level!

I hope you enjoy making and indulging in this truffle-infused lobster mac and cheese. Feel free to play around with the ingredients and make it your own by adding your favorite cheeses or spices. Bon appétit!
