Today’s Unique Creation: Double Chocolate Chili

I’m excited to share with you my latest culinary experiment: Double Chocolate Chili. This dish is perfect for cozy fall evenings when you want something comforting and a little out of the ordinary. The combination of rich cocoa and spicy chili creates a flavor explosion that will leave you wanting more.

Ingredients:

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (400g) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
  • 500ml beef broth
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • large pot
  • wooden spoon
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • measuring spoons

Start by browning the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Once browned, add in the diced onion and bell pepper, and sauté until softened. Stir in the black beans, diced tomatoes, beef broth, cocoa powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Allow the chili to simmer for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

The cocoa powder adds a rich depth of flavor to the chili, while the spices give it a nice kick. The combination of savory and sweet will have your taste buds dancing.

Once the chili is ready, serve hot with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or avocado.

This Double Chocolate Chili recipe yields approximately 6 servings, with each serving weighing around 400g. One serving is roughly 350 calories.
