Healthier Dessert: Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Today, I’m excited to share my recipe for Avocado Chocolate Mousse. This creamy and decadent dessert is a guilt-free treat that’s perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth while still keeping things healthy. With its rich chocolate flavor and smooth texture, you won’t believe this mousse is made with avocados!

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados (about 400g)
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder (50g)
  • 1/4 cup of maple syrup (60ml)
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of milk (60ml)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Kitchen Tools:

  • food processor
  • rubber spatula
  • measuring cups

To make this avocado chocolate mousse, start by scooping the flesh of the ripe avocados into a food processor. Add in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, milk, and a pinch of sea salt. Blend everything together until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the food processor as needed with a rubber spatula.

Once the mousse is smooth and well combined, transfer it to serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set. Serve the mousse chilled and enjoy the rich and indulgent taste of chocolate without any of the guilt!

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 500g, with 4 servings. Each serving weighs about 125g. As an estimate, each serving contains around 200 calories.

One unique tip for this recipe is to add a sprinkle of sea salt on top of each serving before serving. The salt enhances the chocolate flavor and adds a nice contrast to the sweetness of the mousse.
