Growing up, fall always meant trips to the local apple orchard for fresh apple cider and warm, sugary donuts. Today, I’m sharing my recipe for Apple Cider Donut Muffins, a delightful twist on a classic treat. These muffins are perfect for cozy autumn mornings or as a sweet snack with a cup of tea.

Ingredients:

  • 300g all-purpose flour
  • 150g granulated sugar
  • 10g baking powder
  • 5g cinnamon
  • 2g nutmeg
  • 2g salt
  • 240ml apple cider
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 5ml vanilla extract

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the apple cider, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
