  • handful of ice cubes

While the blueberry mixture is simmering, juice the lemons to get approximately 150ml of fresh lemon juice. Once the blueberries have softened and released their juices, remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

Transfer the blueberry mixture to a blender and blend until smooth. Place a fine mesh strainer over a large pitcher and strain the blueberry mixture to remove any pulp, leaving behind a smooth liquid.

Add the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher and stir well to combine. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness if needed by adding more sugar. Refrigerate the lemonade until chilled.
