Today, I’m excited to share with you a unique fusion dish that combines the flavors of sushi with a fun and unexpected twist. These spicy mango sushi tacos are perfect for a summer gathering or just a casual weeknight dinner when you’re in the mood for something different. The combination of fresh seafood, tangy mango, and spicy Sriracha mayo is sure to tantalize your taste buds!

Ingredients:

  • 200g sushi rice
  • 150g raw shrimp
  • 4 sheets of seaweed
  • 1 ripe mango
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds

To start, cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions. While the rice is cooking, peel and devein the shrimp, then sauté them in a skillet until cooked through. Slice the mango and avocado into thin strips, and mix the Sriracha sauce and mayonnaise in a small bowl for the spicy mayo.

Once the rice is done, let it cool slightly before assembling the tacos. Cut the seaweed sheets in half, then place a small scoop of rice on each piece. Top with a few shrimp, mango, and avocado slices. Drizzle with the Sriracha mayo and a squeeze of lime juice. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds for an added crunch.

These spicy mango sushi tacos weigh approximately 1200g once cooked, making enough for 4 servings. Each serving is around 300g and has an estimated calorie count of 350.
