Today, I am excited to share my creative take on a beloved comfort food favorite: macaroni and cheese. This recipe includes unexpected ingredients that come together to create a dish that is both familiar and exciting.

Ingredients:

  • elbow macaroni (250g)
  • gouda cheese, shredded (150g)
  • bacon, cooked and crumbled (100g)
  • honey (30ml)
  • chili powder (5g)
  • fresh parsley, chopped (15g)

  • baking dish
  • oven

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the shredded gouda cheese, cooked and crumbled bacon, honey, and chili powder. Stir until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.

Once the macaroni is cooked, drain it and add it to the cheese mixture, stirring until well combined. Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
