Introducing: Fall Harvest Bread Pudding

I’m excited to share today’s recipe for Fall Harvest Bread Pudding, a perfect treat for the cozy autumn season. This dish brings together the warmth of seasonal spices, the sweetness of ripe fruits, and the comforting texture of bread pudding in a unique and delicious way.

Ingredients:

  • stale baguette, torn into pieces (300g)
  • apples, peeled and diced (200g)
  • cranberries (100g)
  • pistachios, chopped (50g)
  • eggs (4)
  • milk (500ml)
  • brown sugar (100g)
  • cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • nutmeg (1/2 tsp)
  • vanilla extract (1 tsp)

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • baking dish
  • knife
  • cutting board

I start by preheating the oven to 350°F (180°C) and greasing a baking dish. In a large mixing bowl, I whisk together the eggs, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract until well combined. Next, I add the torn baguette pieces, apples, cranberries, and chopped pistachios to the bowl, gently folding everything together until the bread is fully coated in the mixture.

I pour the bread pudding mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly. I then place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.

Once the Fall Harvest Bread Pudding is done baking, I remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. The aroma of cinnamon and nutmeg fills the kitchen, while the apples and cranberries add a burst of fruity sweetness. Each bite is a delightful mix of textures, from the soft bread to the crunch of pistachios.

Approximate total weight of cooked dish: 1250g
Approximate number of servings: 8
Average weight of one serving: 156g
Approximate calorie count per serving: 280 calories

One clever tip for this recipe is to let the bread pudding sit for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together and the pudding to set properly, resulting in a more delicious and cohesive dish.

I hope you give this Fall Harvest Bread Pudding a try and enjoy the flavors of the season! Feel free to experiment with different fruits, nuts, or spices to make it your own. Bon appétit!
