Welcome, foodies! Today, I’m sharing a recipe that perfectly captures the cozy flavors of fall: a spiced apple and goat cheese galette. This rustic and elegant dish is perfect for a holiday gathering or a cozy night in. Let’s dive into the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium-sized apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 100g of creamy goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Kitchen Tools:

  • pastry brush

To start, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface into a rough circle, about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer the pastry to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Spread the goat cheese over the puff pastry, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges. Arrange the sliced apples on top of the goat cheese in a circular pattern, overlapping slightly. Drizzle the honey over the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Gently fold the edges of the pastry over the apple filling, pleating as you go. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to help them brown in the oven.

Bake the galette in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

This spiced apple and goat cheese galette weighs approximately 650g after baking. It serves 6 people, with each serving weighing around 108g. Each serving is estimated to have around 250 calories.
