Hey there, foodies! Today I’m excited to share one of my favorite recipes for spicy shrimp tacos. This dish is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a fun weeknight meal that’s bursting with flavor. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 250g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 15g taco seasoning
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 100g red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 15g fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 medium flour tortillas
  • 15ml olive oil

Kitchen Tools:

I start by heating the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, I add the shrimp and sprinkle on the taco seasoning. I cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque. Next, I stir in the minced chipotle peppers and lime juice, giving the shrimp a spicy and tangy kick.

In a separate mixing bowl, I combine the diced avocado, sliced red cabbage, and chopped cilantro. I toss everything together gently to create a fresh and crunchy slaw that will complement the spicy shrimp perfectly.

To assemble the tacos, I warm the tortillas in the skillet for a few seconds on each side. Then, I spoon some of the shrimp mixture onto each tortilla and top it with a generous helping of the avocado slaw. Feel free to add additional toppings like sour cream, salsa, or a squeeze of extra lime juice to suit your taste.

Once the tacos are assembled, it’s time to dig in! The combination of the spicy shrimp with the cool avocado slaw is absolutely delicious and sure to satisfy your cravings for a flavorful meal.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 600g, with 4 servings. Each serving weighs around 150g, and you can expect each serving to be around 300 calories.
