Today’s Special: Spicy Mango Beef Stir-Fry

Hey there, foodies! Today I’m excited to share with you a dish that’s perfect for those who love a little kick in their meals. This spicy mango beef stir-fry combines the sweetness of ripe mangoes with the heat of red chili peppers, creating a flavorful and satisfying dish that’s sure to impress your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 400g beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 red chili peppers, sliced
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • wok
  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • measuring spoons
  • tongs

To start, heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.

In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed and stir-fry the ginger and garlic until fragrant. Add the sliced red chili peppers and red bell pepper, and cook until slightly softened.

Return the cooked beef to the wok. Add soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a bit of water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the wok to thicken the sauce.

Finally, add the diced ripe mango to the wok and gently toss everything together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the spicy mango beef stir-fry hot over steamed rice or noodles. The combination of sweet mangoes and spicy peppers creates a flavor explosion that will leave you craving more.

One unique tip for this dish is to slightly undercook the mango to retain its natural sweetness and texture in the stir-fry. This will add a refreshing contrast to the savory beef and spicy peppers.

I hope you enjoy this spicy mango beef stir-fry as much as I do! Feel free to customize the heat level by adjusting the amount of chili peppers to suit your preferences. Happy cooking!
