Today’s Special: Raspberry Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops

As the weather starts to cool down and fall is in full swing, I find myself craving warm, comforting meals that are bursting with flavor. That’s why I’m excited to share my recipe for Raspberry Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops with you today. This dish is a perfect balance of savory and sweet, with a delightful hint of tanginess from the raspberries and balsamic vinegar.

Ingredients:

  • bone-in pork chops
  • fresh raspberries
  • balsamic vinegar
  • honey
  • garlic
  • salt and pepper

Kitchen Tools:

  • cast iron skillet
  • meat thermometer
  • wooden spoon

To start, season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant. Then, add the raspberries, balsamic vinegar, and honey. Using a wooden spoon, gently mash the raspberries to release their juices and stir everything together. Let the mixture simmer for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens into a glaze.

Return the seared pork chops to the skillet, coating them with the raspberry balsamic glaze. Allow the pork chops to simmer in the glaze for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring they are fully coated and heated through.

Once the pork chops are coated and the glaze has thickened, remove them from the skillet and serve hot. The raspberry balsamic glaze will add a beautiful color and flavor to the dish, making it a perfect fall meal.

This recipe serves 4 and each serving weighs approximately 250g. One serving of these Raspberry Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops is estimated to be around 350 calories.

Clever Tip:

For an extra burst of fruity flavor, try adding a splash of orange juice to the glaze mixture. The citrusy tang will complement the raspberries perfectly!

I hope you give these Raspberry Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops a try and enjoy them as much as I do. Feel free to experiment with different ingredients and make this dish your own. Happy cooking!
