Golden Turmeric Cauliflower with Creamy Tahini Drizzle

Turmeric Spiced Cauliflower with Tahini Sauce

Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that combines the warm flavors of turmeric with the nuttiness of tahini in a delicious and healthy dish. This recipe is perfect for a cozy night in or a casual dinner with friends, adding a unique twist to your usual vegetable side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of tahini
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2-3 tablespoons of water

Kitchen Tools:

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • whisk

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the cauliflower florets to the bowl and toss until they are coated evenly with the spice mixture.

Spread the cauliflower out on the prepared baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the florets are tender and golden brown.

In the meantime, prepare the tahini sauce by whisking together the tahini, lemon juice, and water in a small bowl until smooth and creamy. Add more water if needed to reach your desired consistency.

Once the cauliflower is done roasting, transfer it to a serving dish and drizzle the tahini sauce over the top. Sprinkle with some additional black pepper and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for an extra burst of flavor.

This Turmeric Spiced Cauliflower with Tahini Sauce weighs approximately 800 grams total and serves 4 people. Each serving is around 200 grams and contains roughly 250 calories.

One unique tip for this recipe is to sprinkle some toasted sesame seeds on top of the dish before serving for an added crunch and nutty flavor.
