Today, I am excited to share a unique and delicious breakfast recipe that combines the rich flavor of white chocolate with the earthy notes of matcha green tea. This recipe is perfect for a cozy weekend morning or a special occasion when you want to treat yourself to something a little different.

Ingredients:

  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 10g baking powder
  • 3g salt
  • 30g sugar
  • 15g matcha powder
  • 100g white chocolate chips
  • 300ml milk
  • 1 egg
  • 30g butter, melted

Kitchen Tools:

  • frying pan
  • spatula

Start by whisking together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and matcha powder in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, egg, and melted butter. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix — a few lumps in the batter are okay.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter. Pour a ladleful of the pancake batter into the pan, then sprinkle a handful of white chocolate chips on top. Cook the pancake for 2-3 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface.

Flip the pancake and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more butter to the pan as needed. Serve the pancakes warm, topped with extra white chocolate chips if desired.
