Indulge in Decadence: Chocolate Olive Oil Cake with Rosemary Masc

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and creative dessert recipe that is perfect for any occasion. This dish combines unexpected flavors and textures to create a truly unforgettable treat. Get ready to indulge in the deliciousness of my Chocolate Olive Oil Cake with Rosemary Infused Mascarpone Cream.

To make this decadent dessert, you will need the following ingredients:
– 200g dark chocolate, chopped
– 100ml extra virgin olive oil
– 3 eggs
– 150g sugar
– 100g all-purpose flour
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
– 200g mascarpone cheese
– 50g powdered sugar

For this recipe, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • saucepan
  • cake tin

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the olive oil until well combined. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Slowly pour in the chocolate mixture, stirring continuously.

Sift in the flour and baking powder, mixing until just combined. Pour the batter into a greased cake tin and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the tin.

While the cake is cooling, gently heat the mascarpone cheese in a saucepan with the powdered sugar and one sprig of fresh rosemary. Allow the rosemary to infuse into the mascarpone for about 10 minutes, then remove the sprig.

To serve, slice the chocolate olive oil cake and top each slice with a dollop of the rosemary-infused mascarpone cream. The combination of rich chocolate, fruity olive oil, and aromatic rosemary creates a truly memorable dessert experience.

The approximate total weight of the cooked dish is 700g, with 8 servings. Each serving weighs around 87g, with an approximate calorie count of 300 per serving.

A unique tip for this recipe is to store any leftover cake in the refrigerator overnight. This will allow the flavors to meld together and intensify, creating an even more delicious treat the next day.

I hope you give this Chocolate Olive Oil Cake with Rosemary Infused Mascarpone Cream recipe a try and enjoy the decadent flavors it has to offer. Feel free to get creative and make it your own by experimenting with different herbs and toppings. Happy baking!
