Decadent Desserts: Chocolate Tiramisu Trifle

Hey there, foodies! Today, I’m excited to share with you my recipe for a delicious and indulgent Chocolate Tiramisu Trifle. This dessert is perfect for those moments when you want to treat yourself to something extra special. The combination of rich chocolate, creamy mascarpone, and a hint of espresso is simply irresistible.

To make this Chocolate Tiramisu Trifle, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 200g of dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup of strong espresso, cooled
  • 250g of ladyfingers
  • 500g of mascarpone cheese
  • 250ml of whipping cream
  • 150g of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

To prepare this decadent dessert, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • saucepan
  • trifle dish

Start by melting the dark chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Set it aside to cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and whipping cream. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, making sure not to soak them too long. Begin layering the ingredients in the trifle dish, starting with a layer of ladyfingers at the bottom. Spoon half of the mascarpone mixture on top, followed by a drizzle of the melted dark chocolate.

Continue layering with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and melted chocolate. Finish off with a dusting of cocoa powder on top. Cover the trifle dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.

Once chilled, the flavors will have melded together beautifully, creating a rich and creamy dessert that is sure to impress. The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 1200g, with 8 servings at 150g each. One serving of this Chocolate Tiramisu Trifle is approximately 350 calories.

Here’s a clever tip for you: for an extra decadent touch, try adding a splash of your favorite liqueur to the espresso before dipping the ladyfingers. It will elevate the flavors and add a unique twist to this classic dessert.

I hope you enjoy making and indulging in this Chocolate Tiramisu Trifle as much as I do. Feel free to get creative and make it your own by experimenting with different toppings or flavors. Happy cooking!
