Decadent Dessert: Smoked Chocolate Mousse

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and indulgent dessert that will truly impress your taste buds. This smoked chocolate mousse has a rich and smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with the creamy texture of the mousse. It’s a perfect treat for a special occasion or just when you’re craving something decadent and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 250ml heavy cream
  • 1 tsp smoked sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50g sugar

Kitchen Tools:

  • saucepan

  • mixing bowl
  • hand mixer

To start, chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it’s just about to boil. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for a minute before whisking until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Add in the smoked sea salt, liquid smoke, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whip the sugar and a splash of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until everything is well incorporated. Be careful not to deflate the mousse.

Divide the mousse into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours to set. Before serving, you can sprinkle some additional smoked sea salt on top for an extra burst of flavor.

Clever Tip:
