Today, I am excited to share with you my recipe for an exotic mango rose tart that is perfect for a special occasion or when you want to impress your guests with a stunning dessert. The combination of sweet mangoes and delicate rose flavors creates a unique and unforgettable treat that will leave everyone asking for more.

For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • store-bought puff pastry (300g)
  • fresh ripe mangoes (3)
  • granulated sugar (50g)
  • rose water (1 tsp)
  • cornstarch (1 tbsp)
  • water (100ml)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Prepare your kitchen tools:

  • rolling pin
  • parchment paper
  • sharp knife
  • pastry brush
  • oven

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit the baking sheet, then transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Using a sharp knife, score a border about 1 inch from the edges of the pastry, being careful not to cut all the way through.

Peel and slice the mangoes thinly, then arrange them in an overlapping pattern inside the scored border on the puff pastry. In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, rose water, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a smooth glaze. Brush the mango slices with the rose glaze, making sure to coat them evenly.

Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the mangoes are tender. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly on a wire rack. Dust the tart with powdered sugar before serving.
