As the summer days get hotter, I find myself craving light and refreshing desserts that still pack a flavorful punch. That’s why I’m excited to share my recipe for Lavender Lemon Panna Cotta with you today. This elegant dessert is perfect for indulging in on a warm evening or impressing guests at a dinner party.

For this unique treat, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 600ml of heavy cream
  • 100g of sugar
  • 10g of gelatin
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • 1 tablespoon of dried lavender

Before you begin, make sure you have the following kitchen tools ready:

  • saucepan
  • whisk
  • fine mesh strainer
  • ramekins
  • mixing bowl

To start, pour the heavy cream into a saucepan and heat it on low until it just begins to simmer. Add in the sugar and stir until dissolved. Sprinkle the gelatin over the mixture and continue to stir until fully combined.

Next, add in the lemon zest and dried lavender, stirring gently to infuse the flavors. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove the lavender and lemon zest.

Divide the mixture evenly among ramekins and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. Once the panna cotta is firm, you can unmold it by running a knife around the edge of the ramekin and gently inverting it onto a plate.

The cooked dish weighs approximately 800g, with 4 servings and each serving weighing around 200g. Each serving is approximately 400 calories.

For a unique twist, try serving the panna cotta with fresh berries or a drizzle of honey. The combination of floral lavender and zesty lemon is sure to wow your taste buds and leave you craving more.
