Today’s Special: Earl Grey Lavender Panna Cotta

Hello, foodies! Today, I am excited to share with you a unique dessert recipe that is perfect for those looking for a touch of elegance and exotic flavors. This Earl Grey Lavender Panna Cotta is a delicate and creamy treat that combines the fragrant notes of Earl Grey tea with the floral essence of lavender. It’s a light and refreshing dessert that is sure to impress your guests or simply treat yourself to something special.

To create this exquisite dessert, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 500ml heavy cream
  • 250ml whole milk
  • 100g sugar
  • 3 gelatin sheets
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For this recipe, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • saucepan
  • whisk
  • fine mesh sieve
  • ramekins

To begin, pour the heavy cream and whole milk into a saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar, Earl Grey tea bags, dried lavender, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture gently until it starts to simmer. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it steep for 10 minutes to infuse the flavors.

Meanwhile, soak the gelatin sheets in cold water until they become soft. Squeeze out any excess water from the gelatin sheets and add them to the warm cream mixture. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the tea bags, lavender, and any lumps. Pour the smooth liquid into ramekins or molds. Chill the panna cotta in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.

Once the panna cotta is set, carefully unmold it onto serving plates. You can garnish with fresh lavender flowers or a light dusting of Earl Grey tea leaves for a beautiful presentation.

This Earl Grey Lavender Panna Cotta has a total weight of 750 grams and serves 6 people. Each serving weighs approximately 125 grams and contains around 300 calories.

A clever tip for this recipe is to sprinkle a pinch of dried lavender on top of each portion for an extra burst of floral aroma and flavor.

I hope you enjoy making and indulging in this exquisite dessert. Feel free to experiment with different tea and herb combinations to create your own unique twist on this classic panna cotta recipe. Bon appétit!
