Delicious Pumpkin Spice Chai Cake

Today, I’m excited to share with you my new fall dessert creation: a scrumptious Pumpkin Spice Chai Cake. As the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to change colors, there’s nothing better than cozying up with a warm slice of cake that perfectly captures the essence of autumn.

To make this delectable cake, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 200g pumpkin puree
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 250g all-purpose flour
  • 200g sugar
  • 150g butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For this recipe, you’ll need the following kitchen tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • spatula
  • 9-inch cake pan

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pan. In a small saucepan, heat the pumpkin puree over low heat with the chai tea bags for about 10 minutes to infuse the flavors. Remove the tea bags and let the mixture cool.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together the chai-infused pumpkin puree, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, being careful not to overmix.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, slice the Pumpkin Spice Chai Cake and serve it with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra indulgent treat.

The total weight of the cooked Pumpkin Spice Chai Cake is approximately 750g, with 8 servings and an average weight of 94g per serving. Each serving is approximately 280 calories.

A unique tip for this recipe is to sprinkle some chai spices on top of the cake before serving for an extra burst of flavor and a beautiful presentation.

I encourage you to give this Pumpkin Spice Chai Cake a try and let your taste buds experience the cozy flavors of fall. Feel free to get creative with the spices or toppings to make this dessert your own. Happy baking!
