Welcome to My Holiday Kitchen: Festive Stuffed Squash Surprise

Today, I’m excited to share a unique and festive recipe that’s perfect for the holiday season. This dish is a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors that will surely impress your family and friends at any gathering.

For this recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • small acorn squash (halved and seeded)
  • quinoa (cooked)
  • dried cranberries
  • chopped pecans
  • feta cheese (crumbled)
  • honey
  • ground cinnamon
  • salt and pepper

To prepare this dish, you will need the following kitchen tools:

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • spoon
  • knife
  • fork

Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the halved acorn squash on a baking sheet, cut-side down, and roast for about 30 minutes until tender.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked quinoa, dried cranberries, chopped pecans, crumbled feta cheese, a drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything together until well combined.

Once the acorn squash halves are tender, remove them from the oven and carefully flip them over. Fill each squash half with the quinoa mixture, packing it down gently with a spoon.

Return the stuffed squash to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the filling is heated through and the squash is caramelized around the edges.

Once done, remove the stuffed squash from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. The aroma of the warm cinnamon and honey will fill your kitchen, inviting everyone to the table.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 1200 grams, with 4 servings. Each serving weighs about 300 grams, and you can expect around 350 calories per serving.

One clever tip for this recipe is to sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top of the stuffed squash just before serving. It adds a burst of flavor and a beautiful presentation touch that your guests will appreciate.

I hope you enjoy making this Festive Stuffed Squash Surprise for your next holiday gathering. Feel free to get creative with the ingredients and make it your own. Happy cooking!
