Chocolate Cherry Explosion Bars

Today, I wanted to share a recipe that combines two of my favorite flavors – rich dark chocolate and sweet cherries. These Chocolate Cherry Explosion Bars are perfect for any occasion, whether you’re craving a decadent dessert or just want to impress your friends and family with a unique treat.

Ingredients:

  • 250g
  • 150g
  • 200g

  • 1/2 tsp

Kitchen Tools:

  • mixing bowl
  • saucepan
  • wooden spoon
  • 8×8 inch baking pan

To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line the baking pan with parchment paper. In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour in the melted chocolate mixture and stir until well combined. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the dried cherries.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares. These Chocolate Cherry Explosion Bars are best enjoyed slightly warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 800g, with 16 servings at an average weight of 50g per serving. Each serving is estimated to have around 200 calories.

One clever tip for this recipe is to sprinkle a handful of chopped nuts, such as almonds or pecans, on top of the batter before baking for added crunch and flavor.
