Today, I’m excited to share a decadent dessert recipe that combines the richness of dark chocolate with the sweetness of fresh figs. This chocolate fig tart is the perfect treat for a cozy evening at home or a special gathering with loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • 200g
  • 100g
  • 150g
  • 6-8
  • 3 tbsp
  • 200ml
  • 1 tsp
  • a pinch

Kitchen Tools:

  • food processor
  • 9-inch tart pan
  • saucepan

To start, crush the digestive biscuits in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. Melt the butter and mix it with the biscuit crumbs. Press this mixture into the base of a 9-inch tart pan, creating an even layer. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the dark chocolate and whipping cream together, stirring until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt for balance. Pour the chocolate ganache over the chilled biscuit base and spread it out evenly. Allow it to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

While the tart is setting, slice the fresh figs into thin rounds. Arrange them in a circular pattern on top of the chocolate ganache. Drizzle honey over the figs for a touch of sweetness.

Serve the chocolate fig tart chilled, allowing the flavors to meld together. Each bite combines the creamy chocolate filling with the juicy figs for a delightful contrast of textures and tastes.
