Unique Dessert Recipe: Crispy Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Today, I’m excited to share with you a fun and delicious dessert recipe that combines two classic flavors — chocolate and peanut butter — in a unique and crispy way. This recipe is perfect for a cozy night in or a fun treat to share with family and friends.

Ingredients:

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150g smooth peanut butter
  • 100g rice cereal
  • 50g honey
  • 50g chopped nuts (optional)

Kitchen Tools:

  • microwave
  • mixing bowl
  • spatula
  • muffin tin

To start, melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. In a separate bowl, mix the smooth peanut butter, rice cereal, honey, and chopped nuts (if using) until well combined.

Next, line a muffin tin with cupcake liners and spoon a layer of melted chocolate into the bottom of each liner. Follow this with a layer of the peanut butter mixture, pressing it down gently to create an even layer. Top each cup with another layer of melted chocolate.

Place the muffin tin in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the chocolate to set. Once set, carefully remove the crispy chocolate peanut butter cups from the liners and enjoy!

The total weight of the cooked dish is approximately 600g, with 12 servings. Each serving weighs around 50g, with an estimated calorie count of 200 per serving.

One clever tip for these crispy chocolate peanut butter cups is to sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before the chocolate sets for a delicious sweet and salty contrast.

I hope you give this recipe a try and have fun making these crispy chocolate peanut butter cups your own with different add-ins like dried fruit or coconut flakes. Enjoy!
