Irresistible Smoky Bacon Maple Carrots

Today’s Recipe: Smoky Bacon and Maple Glazed Carrots

I’m so excited to share my latest creation with you all today! This dish is inspired by the cozy feeling of fall and the warming flavors of smoky bacon and sweet maple syrup. It’s the perfect side dish for a chilly evening or a festive gathering with loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • 500g carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 200g bacon, chopped
  • 50ml maple syrup
  • 10g smoked paprika
  • to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • chef’s knife
  • cutting board
  • skillet
  • wooden spoon

I start by cooking the chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy and golden brown. Once the bacon is cooked, I remove it from the skillet and set it aside.

In the same skillet, I add the sliced carrots and cook them until they’re slightly softened, about 5-7 minutes. Then, I sprinkle in the smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, stirring everything together to coat the carrots in the smoky seasoning.

Next, I drizzle in the maple syrup, allowing it to caramelize and glaze the carrots beautifully. I let the mixture simmer for a few more minutes until the carrots are tender and the flavors have melded together.

Once everything is cooked to perfection, I stir in the crispy bacon, making sure to evenly distribute it throughout the dish. The combination of the smoky bacon, sweet maple syrup, and tender carrots is simply irresistible.
