Irresistible Tamarind Tofu Stir-Fry

Today’s Dish: Tangy Tamarind Tofu Stir-Fry

As the weather gets cooler, I find myself craving warm and comforting dishes that are packed with flavor. That’s why today, I’m excited to share my recipe for Tangy Tamarind Tofu Stir-Fry. This dish is a delightful mix of tangy, sweet, and savory flavors that will leave you wanting more.

Ingredients:

  • 300g firm tofu, cubed
  • 30g tamarind paste
  • 50ml soy sauce
  • 20g honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 200g broccoli florets
  • 30ml sesame oil
  • 20ml rice vinegar
  • 10g cornstarch
  • 100ml water
  • for serving

Kitchen Tools:

  • measuring spoons

To start, heat the wok over medium heat and add the sesame oil. Once hot, add the garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant. Add in the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crisp.

Next, add the sliced bell pepper, onion, and broccoli florets to the wok. Cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

In a small bowl, whisk together the tamarind paste, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. Pour this mixture over the tofu and vegetables in the wok, stirring to combine evenly.

In another bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this slurry to the wok, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.

Serve the Tangy Tamarind Tofu Stir-Fry over cooked rice and enjoy the burst of flavors with every bite.
