Today’s Recipe: Smoked Salmon Pasta with Lemon Cream Sauce

As the weather starts to cool down, I find myself craving comforting pasta dishes. Today, I’m sharing my recipe for a luxurious smoked salmon pasta with a bright lemon cream sauce. This dish is perfect for a cozy night in or a special occasion when you want to impress your guests.

Ingredients:

  • 150g smoked salmon
  • 200g pasta of your choice
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 150ml heavy cream
  • 50g butter
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Handful of fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools:

  • large pot
  • frying pan
  • microplane zester
  • wooden spoon

To start, cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. In a frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add the capers and smoked salmon, breaking up the salmon into bite-sized pieces with a wooden spoon.

Once the pasta is al dente, drain it and add it to the pan with the smoked salmon mixture. Toss everything together gently. In a separate pan, heat the heavy cream over low heat. Add the lemon zest and juice, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly.

Pour the lemon cream sauce over the pasta and smoked salmon, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness.

This smoked salmon pasta with lemon cream sauce serves 4 people, with each serving weighing approximately 250g. One serving is around 400 calories.

Tip:

For an extra burst of freshness, try adding a handful of cherry tomatoes halved into the pasta just before serving. The juicy tomatoes will add a lovely contrast to the creamy lemon sauce.
