Mediterranean Lamb Feta Meatloaf

Today’s Unique Dish

As the weather starts to cool down and cozy evenings become more frequent, I find myself craving comfort foods with a twist. That’s why I’m excited to share a unique recipe that combines the warmth of classic meatloaf with the exciting flavors of Mediterranean cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 400g ground lamb
  • 100g crumbled feta cheese
  • 50g chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 25g chopped fresh parsley
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • to taste

I start by preheating my oven to 180°C and greasing a baking dish. In a mixing bowl, I combine the ground lamb, crumbled feta cheese, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, breadcrumbs, eggs, salt, and pepper. I mix everything together until well combined.

Next, I transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and shape it into a loaf. I pop it into the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and golden brown on the outside.

Once the meatloaf is done, I let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. The combination of juicy lamb, tangy feta, and sweet sun-dried tomatoes creates a flavor explosion in every bite. It’s a perfect balance of familiar and exotic flavors that will surely impress your taste buds.

Tip: Mediterranean Twist

For an extra burst of flavor, try serving this Mediterranean meatloaf with a side of tzatziki sauce and a refreshing cucumber and tomato salad. The cool, creamy sauce and crisp salad provide a delightful contrast to the rich and savory meatloaf.
